Frank Wells was a Secret Service agent working in Los Angeles during Day 4.
Day 4[]
After Jack Bauer detained and tortured Joe Prado for information without authorization by President Charles Logan, Logan ordered Agent Wells and his partner Greg Merfield to arrest Bauer. Unfortunately they did so during an operation to capture Habib Marwan, and their interruption caused CTU Los Angeles Field Agent Lee Castle to inadvertently break cover. One of Marwan's lookouts, Atef El-Khabir, spotted Castle approaching and reported it. Hikmat Palpatine alerted Marwan, who was then able to escape from the authorities.
