Fredo was born in Puerto Rico to Arlene Brando and John Rothrock. He is the oldest of six siblings. Rock was raised between Puerto Rico and New Jersey, attending Edgewood Regional High School. During his time ih school, he had varied interests that ranged from track and field and wrestling, to computers and literature. Rock also wrote poetry, getting published in the International Library of Poetry.

Fredo was born in Puerto Rico, but raised between Puerto Rico and New Jersey. In high school his interests were wrestling and writing poetry, getting published in the International Library of Poetry. After school he joined the United States Navy as a communications expert, spending 4 months in the Persian Gulf, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.
 
After school, Rock joined the United States Navy. He attended classes at the Hospital Corpsman School, Surface Warfare, and Communications Department, among others. Rock spent most of his service as a communications expert, spending 4 months in the Persian Gulf. After that, he decided to pursue a career in acting, and started working several jobs so he could move to California.
 
 
During his acting career, he has had roles on films like ''Alien Arsenal'' and ''Live Free or Die Hard'', as well as TV shows like NBC's ''The 60's'', Fox's ''24'', and CBS' ''Cold Case''. He is currently a member of SAG/AFTRA.
