After school he joined the United States Navy as a communications expert, spending 4 months in the Persian Gulf, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.

Rock played the role of an FBI agent during [[Season 6]] of ''24''. In [[Day 6: 10:00am-11:00am]] his character stood guard while agent [[Jennings]] planted a wire on [[Walid Al-Rezani]]. In the next episode, he ran towards Walid when he was being beaten up by [[Heydar]]. Rock was not credited for his role.
