Biography and career[]

Gary Dewitt Marshall was born in Rochester, New York. In 1989, he completed a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and then a Master's degree in Directing and Theatrical Production from SUNY Albany. Marshall started his career doing commercials for companies like AT&T, Sprint, McDonalds and Budweiser.

Through his career, Marshall has appeared in films like Renaissance Man (with Gregory Sporleder), In and Out, The Hurricane (with Harris Yulin and Vicellous Shannon), and Game Day. He has also appeared in TV shows like New York Undercover, ER, and Southland (with Kevin Alejandro, Michael Cudlitz, C. Thomas Howell, and Regina King).

From 2013 to 2015, Marshall completed a Master's degree in Theater Arts Education from the University of South Carolina-Columbia. He has also worked as Creative Consultant and Theater Director for universities and schools.
