Background information and notes

George Walker Bush (born July 6, 1946) was the 43rd President of the United States, serving from 2001 to 2009, and the son of the 41st president, George H. W. Bush. The entirety of the first six seasons of 24, as well as 24: Redemption and the first five episodes of Season 7, aired on Fox during the Bush administration. Assuming the series takes place approximately contemporaneously, David Palmer would have served Bush's first term, while John Keeler, Charles Logan, and Hal Gardner served his second.
