Geraint Wyn Davies (born April 20, 1957; age 66) played James Nathanson during Season 5 of 24.

Biography[]

Geraint Wyn Davies was born in Swansea, Wales, in the United Kingdom. Born to a Welsh congregational preacher and a retired teacher, he moved with his family to Canada at the age of seven. Davies attended Upper Canada College, and then the University of Western Ontario. He started studying business and economics, but left early to pursue an acting career.

Davies' most famous role is that of Nick Knight on the television series Forever Knight. Previous to this role, he had also played a vampire in Dracula: the Series (with Mia Kirshner). He also played cyber-terrorist David Kaydick in RoboCop: Prime Directives (with Leslie Hope), and also portrayed maverick U.S. Air Force pilot Mike Rivers in the fourth and final season of Airwolf. Davies is a close friend of Colm Feore, with whom he has appeared in the series Forever Knight and Slings and Arrows, as well as the TV films Trudeau and The Boys from Syracuse.

Aside of TV, Davies has appeared in films like Some Things That Stay, The Wild Dogs (with Alberta Watson), Cube2: Hypercube (with Kari Matchett), and the direct-to-video release of American Psycho II: All American Girl.

Davies is also a stage actor. He appeared several seasons with the Shaw and Stratford festivals. He recently appeared in New York City with Christopher Plummer in King Lear, and in Washington, DC in the title role of Cyrano de Bergerac.

Role on 24[]

Davies played the role of James Nathanson during Season 5 of 24. Nathanson was a mid-level member of the Sentox nerve gas conspiracy, who coordinated the actions of terrorist Anton Beresch during the attack at the Ontario Airport. The role was originally intended for Peter Wingfield, but Davies stepped in when Wingfield had issues with his visas. Davies was credited as a guest star and appeared in a total of 6 episodes.
