Gwen Stewart (born September 5, 1963; age 60) played Officer Lyons, credited as "Female Officer", in Season 1 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Gwen Stewart was born in Newark, New Jersey. She began her acting career in theater, debuting in Broadway as part of the original cast of Starmites. She is known for her role of Mrs. Jefferson in the musical Rent. When Fredi Walker-Browne departed the cast in 1997, Stewart took over the role of Joanne. She has toured around the US with the cast of the musical.

Stewart had her first role on television in 2000 with an appearance in Moesha. After that, she has appeared in shows like The Guardian, Charmed, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (with Jose Zuniga), and True Blood.

Role on 24[]

Stewart played the role of Officer Lyons during Season 1 of 24. Lyons was a corrections officer active when Kim Bauer was temporarily detained. Although Stewart was credited simply as "Female Officer", her nametag is visible for a while revealing his name. Stewart appeared in only one episode and was credited as a co-star.
