Harris (Day 1)

Harris was a hired soldier and Serbian military exile employed by Andre Drazen during Day 1.

Before Day 1

Harris was the leader of a mercenary team hired by Andre Drazen. For about a year prior to Day 1, he and Andre made extensive plans to break Victor Drazen out of a level three Department of Defense detention center hidden underground in Saugus, California. They knew the precise time that Victor would be airlifted to the detention center, and that only three guards would be present.

Day 1

When Jack Bauer arrived, he convinced warden Mark DeSalvo to disguise himself and several other untrained workers at the facility to look like extra guards. Harris was surprised by the apparent increase in the security detail. He talked Andre out of the planned attack when the lights were not shut off (which Alexis Drazen was supposed to have arranged).

Andre was at odds with Harris afterward. When Harris refused to coordinate an alternate plan to break out Victor, Andre threatened him with a knife in front of all the other gunmen. Eventually, Harris cooperated. The nearby substation was blown up, plunging the underground prison into darkness, and Victor was freed from the facility.
