This article covers characters and concepts from the Indian adaptation of 24.

India was a coastal country in southern Asia. Its capital city was Delhi, and the primary governing body, the Indian Parliament, was based there along with the Prime Minister.

The country had been the target of many terrorist attacks, including the 2001 attack on the Indian Parliament, serial train blasts in Mumbai in 2006, the assassination of Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Pratap Singhania, and the train and market bombings orchestrated by Roshan Sherchan.

These events led to tough security measures and the creation of the Anti Terrorist Unit.
