Inglewood was a city in southern California, located south of Los Angeles near Los Angeles International Airport.

History[edit | edit source]

Arms dealer Arturo Menifee ran his business from a two-story warehouse in Inglewood. After learning that Menifee was mediating a business deal between Jemaah Islamiyah and another party, a CTU field team led by Tony Almeida raided the warehouse and captured Menifee. Almeida went undercover and pretended to be Menifee when Encep Sungkar and his men arrived. CTU agents covertly disabled the Indonesians' vehicle, allowing Tony to offer to drive them to the U-Pack Storage Facility in Playa del Rey where the deal was to take place. (Chaos Theory)

Assad's safe house is destroyed

Day 6[edit | edit source]

During Day 6, Hamri Al-Assad and his supporters worked from a safe house in Inglewood as they tried to stop Abu Fayed's suicide bombings. Fayed, perpetuating the misconception that Assad was behind the attacks, gave the house's coordinates to agents at CTU, who directed Cobra helicopters from Camp Pendleton to destroy the entire building in a directed strike. Jack Bauer, knowing that Fayed had lied, escaped from his custody and tried to warn President Wayne Palmer and his advisers that they were about to kill the wrong man, but his warnings were overruled. Jack drove to the house himself to get Assad and his men out, and outed Omar as a traitor working for Fayed - he was wearing a transponder that allowed Fayed to pinpoint where Assad was. Convinced, Assad took Omar captive and followed Jack out of the house, while the other men stayed behind to get rid of evidence. The three barely made it out before the Cobra fired a missile, destroying the entire house. A short time thereafter, CTU field agents led by Curtis Manning surveyed the wreckage, but were unable to find evidence that Assad had been eliminated. ("Day 6: 6:00am-7:00am", "7:00am-8:00am")
