Isaach De Bankole (born August 12, 1957; age 67) played Prime Minister Ule Matobo in 24: Redemption and Season 7 of 24.
Biography and career[]
De Bankole was born in Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire to Yoruba parents from Benin. His grandparents are from Nigeria. He has a degree in Acting from Cours Simon and a Masters in Mathematics from the Universite de Paris.
De Bankole began his acting career in 1984, appearing in French films. In 1997, he relocated to the US where he has continued his career. De Bankole has appeared in films like Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, Miami Vice, and Casino Royale. Ironically, in the film Casino Royale (2006), Isaach played the role of a brutal African warlord, the antithesis to his role on 24.
Aside of films, De Bankole has also appeared in TV shows like The Good Wife, The Sopranos, and The Unit (with Dennis Haysbert).
