David "J.R." Bourne was born in Toronto, Canada.
Bourne began his acting career in 1994, appearing in a short film called Porcaria. After that, he has had recurring supporting roles on TV shows such as The Secret Circle, Revenge (with James Morrison and Wendy Crewson), Stargate SG-1 (with Carmen Argenziano and Michael Shanks), and MTV's Teen Wolf. He has also guest-starred in shows like Millennium (with Bill Smitrovich), NCIS (with Pauley Perrette), Cold Case (with Kevin Chapman), and Fringe (with John Noble and Omid Abtahi).
