Jack Murillo (born May 29, 1993; age 32) played Jackson, a U.S. Army Ranger during The Raid, the prequel to 24: Legacy.
Biography and career[]
Jack Murillo was born in San Diego, California to Art and Rhoda Murillo. He has two brothers, Jason and Nathan. From an early age, Murillo developed an interest in music and the arts. During high school, he was the dance captain of a Broadway-style choir group, leading them to a national championship. At that time, Murillo also became interested in mixed martial arts, practicing Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai.
After graduating, Murillo enlisted in the Marine Corps. He served as an Infantry Rifleman, Machine Gunner, and Scout/Sniper Platoon Marine. Murillo was deployed twice with Marine Expeditionary Units. Nearing the end of his military service, he started a Facebook comedy show called The Buffalo Hunter.
After completing his service, Murillo decided to pursue an acting career. After being honorably discharged, he began studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute's Method Acting Conservatory. His work on 24: Legacy was one of his first professional acting experiences. After that, he has appeared in other TV shows like SEAL Team and Throwbacks. In 2018, Murillo wrote and acted on the short film Devil's Playground.
