Biography and career[]
Jamie McShane was born and raised in Saddle River, New Jersey, with his four siblings. He studied at the University of Richmond, where he completed a Bachelor's degree in English. After graduating, McShane worked three jobs to save enough money so he could travel around the world backpacking.
After returning from his travels, McShane moved to New York where he started working on plays, commercials, and as a stand-in. During his career, he has worked on numerous TV shows like NYPD Blue, ER, and Bloodline. McShane also had a recurring role on the short-lived drama The Nine, which also starred John Billingsley, Lourdes Benedicto, Kim Raver, Michael O'Neill, Zach Grenier and JoBeth Williams.
Aside from TV, McShane has also worked on films like Thor (with Colm Feore), Argo (with Tate Donovan and Rory Cochrane), and Gone Girl. In 2013, he had a role on Kiefer Sutherland's new show Touch, along with Greg Ellis, Annie Wersching, and Scott Klace.
