Whalen is a member of the group SWAT4hire, who provided specialist extras and technical advice on the show. In "6:00pm-7:00pm" he was present in the parking lot opposite the mosque as Jack Bauer briefed the troops. In "8:00pm-9:00pm", his character was in the crowd as Jack Bauer briefed the team at Norton Airfield. In "9:00pm-10:00pm", he removed Omar's belt after he was arrested. In "11:00pm-12:00am", he was back at CTU when Syed Ali was being transferred, and Jack Bauer told him he needed to speak to Ali.
