Jean-Paul Ly was an actor and stunt performer who had two roles in 24: Live Another Day.
Biography and career[]
Jean-Paul Ly is an actor and stunt performer. He started his professional work in 2014, when he worked on the short film Chameleon, while also performing stunts in the TV mini-series Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist. After that, Ly has worked stunts on films like Nightshooters, Doctor Strange, and Now You See Me 2. His film credits also include Lucy and Gatwick Gangsters (with Lukaz Leong).
In 2018, Ly directed and starred in his first short film, The Division - PoC.
Role on 24[]
Ly had two separate roles during 24: Live Another Day:
- In "Day 9: 10:00pm-11:00am", he first appeared as one of Cheng's sentries stationing on the top of a set of stairs aboard Letitcia while Jack and Belcheck infiltrated the boat and making their way to the main control room. He was the first guard to be shot on the ship by Jack.
- Later, he played another Cheng's henchman who stormed into the ship's galley with another accomplice and firing at Jack. He was killed when Jack flung a cleaver into his chest.
Ly was not credited for his appearance.
