Jeff Kober (born December 18, 1953; age 70) played the assassin Conrad Haas in Season 5 of 24. Kober was the third actor to play the role of Conrad Haas during shooting.
Biography and career[]
Jeff Kober was born in Billings, Montana. Although he initially intended to be a rancher, he decided to pursue a career in acting instead, and moved to Los Angeles.
Kober's television credits include shows like The X-Files (with Xander Berkeley), The Shield (with Benito Martinez), The Closer (with Raymond Cruz), NYPD Blue (with Ricky Schroder, Esai Morales, and Currie Graham), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (with Tamara Tunie), Star Trek: Enterprise (with John Billingsley and Gregory Itzin), and Star Trek: Voyager (with F.J. Rio). He also had recurring and regular roles in shows like China Beach, Kindred: The Embraced (With C. Thomas Howell, Patrick Bauchau, and Channon Roe), and The Walking Dead (with Xander Berkeley and Michael Cudlitz).
Kober's film roles include Out of Bounds (with Kevin McCorkle), Hidalgo (with Adoni Maropis), Enough, Desert Heat (with Silas Weir Mitchell), A Man Apart, and The Hills Have Eyes II (with Jay Acovone).

Role on 24[]
Kober was the third actor to be cast for the role of Conrad Haas. According to director Jon Cassar, one of the previous actors was deemed too young for the role. Cassar wanted an actor that would seem an equal to Jack Bauer, and settled for Kober in the end. Cassar then had to reshoot several scenes of the first episode to have Kober in them.
