Berkin was a Secret Service agent detailed to protect Senator, and later President David Palmer during the events of Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3.
Day 1
Berkin helped Aaron Pierce secure the area at the Santa Clarita Power Plant as they got Palmer and his wife out of there after an attempt on the senator's life. He was also present when Palmer was at Grant Street Elementary School.
When Palmer went to make his speech about Keith at 6:30pm, Berkin held back crowds.
Day 2
Berkin was present when Palmer gave a conference outside the Northwest Regional Operations Complex just after 9:00am ("9:00am-10:00am"). He later gave Palmer a call from Ryan Chappelle at Division ("12:00pm-1:00pm").
Day 3
Escorting Anne Packard.
After her ex-husband committed suicide in front of her, Dr. Anne Packard went to see President Palmer. Berkin brought her into the office where Palmer and his brother Wayne were working. There, she revealed that the events of the day helped her decide to end the relationship she had with David.
