Judy Rawson Campbell was the wife of CTU Los Angeles field agent Seth Campbell.
Biography[]
Campbell had a sister, Lynn Rawson, who lived in San Diego.
Eighteen years before Day 1, Seth Campbell proposed to Judy at the Griffith Park Observatory. They were married and had four children together, Jeremy, Brenda, Bobby, and Samuel. (Findings at CTU)
After Seth joined CTU Los Angeles, he developed a gambling problem and caused the family to accrue large debts. He was investigated and prosecuted, along with two fellow agents, for taking bribes on the job to cover these debts and sentenced to ten years in a federal penitentiary. Campbell's superior Jack Bauer was responsible for blowing the whistle on his activities. ("Day 1: 12:00am-1:00am")
Judy was distraught and depressed, faced with the prospect of raising four children without her husband's income, and refused her sister's urging to seek treatment. She ultimately hanged herself in Griffith Park, not far from the observatory where her husband had proposed to her. (Findings at CTU)
During the operation at California Plaza, Teddy Hanlin informed Bauer that Campbell had killed herself and implicitly accused him of causing it. ("Day 1: 5:00pm-6:00pm")
