Kahlil Iohann Joseph (born March 27, 1978; age 42) played The Middle Eastern Man during Season 6 of 24.

Biography and career[edit | edit source]

Kahlil Joseph was born in New Delhi, India, but grew up traveling around the world. He lived in Canada, USA, England, and Australia during his youth. Joseph's mother was an English Literature professor and his father was an architect. It was his father who introduced Joseph to theater when he was 5 years old. He started to train and participate in competitions all through his youth.

During his childhood, Joseph also became interested in martial arts. He has practiced Shotokan Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, boxing, and more recently Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, and Savate. As he grew up, he earned a BA in English Literature from the University of Delhi, India. During this time, he also sang lead vocals for various heavy metal/hard rock bands in India.

After graduating, Joseph was cast as the lead in an Indian production of Les Miserables. He then moved to the USA, where he attended Concord University in Athens, West Virginia. Joseph earned a second BA in Communication Arts, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He also earned his Master of Fine Arts in Acting from UCLA's School of Theater, Film & Television.

Through his career, Joseph has appeared in shows like Numb3rs (with Lourdes Benedicto and Navi Rawat), Leverage, Desperate Housewives (with Ricardo Chavira, Jeffrey Nordling, and Doug Savant), and Castle (with Stana Katic). He has also appeared in films like Eat Pray Love, Special Ops: Delta Force, and Far from India.
