Kajaki Province was a region in Afghanistan, due north of Kandahar.

During Day 9, Major Shepherd, a U.S. Air Force serviceman, led a U.S. military convoy in Kajaki to transport two British Royal Air Force officers back to their unit. They arrived at their destination just before 12:00pm GMT. Just then, First Lieutenant Chris Tanner is piloting a MQ-1 Predator drone to provide aerial reconnaissance and get the drone back to base, he was shocked when someone hacked the drone and prepared to fire at the convoy's armored vehicle with a AGM-114 Hellfire missile. Despite Tanner's frantic warnings, two American airmen, including both of the RAF officers, were killed as a result of the attack. ("Day 9: 11:00am-12:00pm", "12:00pm-1:00pm")

Background information and notesEdit

  • In reality, Kajaki is both a village and a district of Helmand Province, rather than a province itself. On August 23, 2007, three British soldiers of the Royal Anglian Regiment were killed in a suspected friendly fire incident northwest of Kajaki, when a pair of U.S. Air Force fighter jets provided close air support during an engagement with the Taliban. This may have been an influence in the choice of location for the drone attack in "11:00am-12:00pm".
