Kathleen Alice Wilhoite (born June 29, 1964; age 60) is an actress who portrayed Lauren Proctor on Season 1 of 24.
Biography and career[]
Kathleen Wilhoite was born in Santa Barbara, California. She began singing in her church choir when she was in first grade. Two years later, she was performing as part of a back-up choir with The Carpenters at the Santa Barbara County Bowl. Wilhoite studied piano and songwriting, while also appearing in her high school's theater productions.
After high school, Wilhoite elected to pursue an acting career, as opposed to music, and enrolled at the USC Drama School. In 1983, she had her first acting role in the film Private School. After that, she has appeared in films like Pay it Forward, Nurse Betty, The Edge (with Mark Kiely), Color of Night (with Eriq La Salle), and Fire in the Sky (with D.B. Sweeney).
Wilhoite has also had roles on TV shows like Cop Rock (with Paul McCrane and Peter Onorati), LA Law, Gilmore Girls, and ER (also with Eriq La Salle). Wilhoite has also continued her musical career. She is a singer and composer, having created music for Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
She is 5'5", and is married with one son.
