Keith Topping (born October 26, 1963; age 57) wrote the 24 reference book "A Day in the Life".

Biography and career[edit | edit source]

Keith Topping was born in Walker, Tyneside, in North England. He has two older brothers, and is of Irish, Scottish, East Anglian, and Cumbrian descent. Topping worked for the Civil Service as an Administrative Officer in the Department of Employment from 1983 to 2001. At that time, he decided to pursue a full-time freelance writing career.

Topping's first published fiction work was Past Doctor Adventure in 1997. It was co-written with his friend and collaborator Martin Day. They followed it with The Hollow Men the next year.

Although most of his work relates to the Doctor Who franchise, he has also written books about Buffy the Vampire Slayer and 24. Topping is also a TV reviewer and critic, and occasionally performs stand-up comedy.
