Kevin Chapman (born July 29, 1962; age 61) is an actor who played a Coast Guard officer in Season 1 and Warden Mitchell in Season 3 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Kevin Chapman was born in Independence, Louisiana. Before getting into acting, he worked as a doorman and as a stand-up comedian. While working at the Boston Office of Cultural Affairs, Chapman was discovered by the late director, Ted Demme, who cast him as Mickey Pat in the film Monument Ave. (with Brian Goodman)

After that, Chapman has appeared in films like The Boondock Saints, The Cider House Rules, In The Bedroom, Blow (with Miguel Perez and Brian Goodman), Mystic River, 21 Grams (with John Rubinstein), Ladder 49 (with Billy Burke), In Good Company, and Unstoppable.

Chapman has also starred in numerous TV shows through his career. He played Irish Mob boss, Freddie Cork, in Showtime's Brotherhood from 2006 to 2008. In 2011, he was cast as Detective Lionel Fusco on CBS' Person of Interest. He was part of the main cast for all five seasons of the show.

Chapman has played two different roles on 24. He first played a Coast Guard Officer in the last episode of Season 1. He is the one that informs Jack Bauer that his daughter Kim was still alive.

In Season 3, he appeared as Kevin Mitchell, the warden of the Downey Holding Facility where Ramon Salazar was being held. He appeared in two different episodes on this role. For both seasons, Chapman was credited as a guest star.
