Kevin McNally (born April 27, 1956; age 67) played a Russian agent in 24: Live Another Day.

Biography and career

Kevin McNally was born in Bristol, England, but spent his early years in Birmingham. He attended Redhill Junior School on Redhill Road in Hay Mills and Mapledene Junior School on Mapledene Road in Sheldon. He also went to Central Grammar School for Boys on Gressel Lane in Tile Cross.

When McNally was 16 years old, he had his first professional job, working at the Birmingham Rep. In 1973 he was awarded a scholarship to attend the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where he won the Best Actor Bancroft Gold Medal in 1975.

McNally started his career in the 70's, and has appeared in films like The Berlin Affair, Entrapment (with Will Patton and David Yip), Johnny English, Valkyrie (with Eddie Izzard and Julian Morris), and The Raven. However, he is more known for his performance as Joshamee Gibbs in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series.

Aside of films, McNally has also appeared in TV shows like Survivors, Doctor Who, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles (with Francesco Quinn), MI-5, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Supernatural (with Mary Page Keller), and Downton Abbey. Since 2014, he has a lead role on AMC's show TURN: Washington's Spies.

In 2016, he appeared with Kiefer Sutherland on ABC's Designated Survivor. The show also stars former 24 actors Mykelti Williamson and Kal Penn, as well as other contributions from other 24 alumni.
