The LTFE were a terrorist organisation from Sri Lanka.
Ten years before Day 1, the LTFE were creating tension in Sri Lanka so the Indian government sent a task force to end it. However, the LTFE brutally killed everyone who was sent. Pratap Singhania, the Prime Minister at the time, assembled a task force led by Jai Singh Rathod and gave them the responsibility of wiping out the group.
Jai tracked them down to the jungles of Tamil Nadu where the leader, Ravindran, was hiding. Operation Trishul saw Jai's team invade Ravindran's camp and kill the leader, however he was using a body double and he survived the assault. He was arrested but his wife and son were killed. ("2:00pm-3:00pm")
In response to Operation Trishul, the remaining LTFE members killed Pratap Singhania, four years before Day 1. After that, Jai Singh Rathod and the ATU rounded up all of the remaining members of the group. However, Raja Talapathi and Ravindran's son Bala managed to pull together the group undetected. ("2:00pm-3:00pm")
On Day 1, Raja and Bala orchestrated a plot to frame Jai Rathod for the murder of Pratap's son Aditya Singhania. They hired Yakub Syed to conduct this by kidnapping Jai's wife and daughter, but Yakub failed and Raja and Bala tooki over. Bala tried to kill Aditya by using his press secretary, Pooja Bharadwaj, but Pooja stabbed him when she learned of his true motives. ("4:00pm-5:00pm")
Raja then led a team of men to rescue Ravindran from prison. In the course of this, they captured Jai alive and traded him for Bala. Roshan, one of Raja's men, then kidnapped Jai's son Veer and they used him to get Jai to deliver a bomb to Aditya. However, Aditya survived, and Jai killed Raja and Ravindran before the end of the day. ("11:00pm-12:00am")
