Lal was a doctor at the ATU during Day 1.

After Kiran and Trisha Rathod were rescued from the attack on the safe house, they were brought back to the ATU and Mihir called in Dr. Lal. The doctor examined them, assisted by nurse Seema, and told Kiran that they were fine and they should get some rest. ("6:00pm-7:00pm")

However, shortly after 7pm Trisha began bleeding from her ear and nose and collapsed, and Dr. Lal treated her in the clinic. He explained to Kiran that she had internal bleeding in her head, and Kiran asked him to inform Jai of what had happened. He ran some tests on Trisha, and told Nikita Rai that the results of the tests would indicate how serious Trisha's injuries were. ("7:00pm-8:00pm")

Trisha remained stable until around 9pm, when she started convulsing. Kiran called for Dr. Lal, and he came back and asked Kiran to wait outside. A short while later he told Kiran that Trisha had suffered a stroke due to her trauma, and he transferred her to a hospital for further treatment. ("9:00pm-10:00pm")
