Lourdes Benedicto (born November 12, 1974; age 49) played Carrie Turner during Season 2 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Benedicto is half-Filipino and half-Spanish/Dominican. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania.

Benedicto debuted on the 1990 TV film Gryphon. After that, she dedicated to her studies and returned to show business on 1996 with a recurring role on NYPD Blue. During her tenure at the show, she worked with Ricky Schroder, Andrea Thompson, Vicellous Reon Shannon, Currie Graham, Tamara Tunie, Tony Todd, and FJ Rio. She also returned to films on 1998's Permanent Midnight (with Janeane Garofalo). After that, she has appeared on films like Drive Me Crazy, The Locket, Two Days, The Fighting Temptations, Silver Bells, and Unbeatable Harold.

She has continued to dedicate more to TV shows. After her appearance on NYPD Blue, she appeared in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and two episodes of Resurrection Blvd. during which she worked with Marisol Nichols, Esai Morales, Jorge Pallo, Ray Wise, and Karim Prince. In 2000, she landed one of the lead roles in Titans where she worked with Kevin Fry and Burt Bulos. After the show was canceled, she had recurring roles on ER (with Paul McCrane, Vincent Angell and James Cromwell), Dawson's Creek, The Nine (with John Billingsley, Kim Raver, Jamie McShane, Michael O'Neill, Zach Grenier and JoBeth Williams), Cashmere Mafia (with Harris Yulin), as well as appearances on The Lyon's Den (with Dean Norris and Gregg Henry), The Dead Zone, and Numb3rs (with Navi Rawat).

Role on 24[]

Benedicto played the role of Carrie Turner during Season 2 of 24. Turner was an employee from District that was sent to CTU Los Angeles to assist after the bombing at the beginning of the season. Benedicto appeared in a total of 10 episodes, but was credited in 11.

When Benedicto was driving before her first day as Carrie Turner on the set of 24, she collided with a police car and was dubbed by her co-stars as "Cop Car Carrie" for the remainder of the show's second season.
