Mahatma Gandhi National Park was a large forested park in the city of Mumbai, India, located near to Kandivali.

Four years before Day 1, the park was closed to the public and the government restricted access to parts of it. A secret prison facility was constructed under a bridge in the northwest corner of the park, and the prisoners Ravindran and Aravind Bala Muruga were taken there after their capture during Operation Trishul. At some point before Day 1, Bala Ravindran arranged to pay Deepak Patil, an employee of the Mumbai Electric Board at the Kandivali power station, to shut off the power to the area containing the prison facility.

However on the day, Jai Singh Rathod got to Deepak and he was killed in a sting operation. Jai travelled to the park to investigate, arriving with Mahinder Gill, and they explored the area. Gill left shortly before 7pm, and Jai was observed by Sridhar and his soldiers as he discovered the prison and went inside. Raja Talapathi arrived a short while later, preparing to attack the facility, but when the power did not go off they called off the attack. Raja sent Mani and Bhaskar to blow up a power station at Borivali, and he shot Sridhar dead for insubordination. Once the power to the prison was cut, Raja led the men inside. ATU troops, led by agent Gandhi, arrived in the area and attempted to secure the prison. However, they were killed along with the rest of the prisons staff and Jai was taken hostage. Ravindran, Raja and the rest of the men escaped the area in an ambulance. ("8:00pm-9:00pm")
