Maria Quiban (born October 28, 1970; age 55) played a reporter during Season 4 of 24. She is, in reality, a weather anchor for FOX 11.
Biography and career[]
Maria Quiban was born in the Philippines as Maria T. Aviso. When she was 9 years old, her family moved to Hawaii where she attended Aiea High School. After that, Quiban studied journalism at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. In 2005, she completed a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
Quiban worked for the local NBC Hawaii News 8 (KHNL) in Honolulu before moving in 1998 to Los Angeles to work as the weather anchor for the Orange County Newschannel. In 2000, she started working as the weather anchor for My13 News (KTTV). Quiban currently works at FOX 11 Morning News and FOX 11 Noon News.
Aside from her career as a weather reporter and anchor, Quiban has appeared in TV shows and films, usually playing a reporter as well. Some of the shows she has worked in are JAG, Criminal Minds and Touch (with Kiefer Sutherland).
