Martin Kail

Martin Kail was an field agent at CTU Washington.

Martin was romantically involved with his CTU partner Susan Walker. When Susan killed Department of Defense agent Donald Frick, CTU-director James Sutton put Kail in charge of the investigation. Martin followed a lead that eventually took him to Susan. She explained that she was uncovering a conspiracy to use nuclear weapons on the USA. Whilst trying to stop the attack, which he thought had been engineered by his boss James Sutton, he discovered that the analyst Kelly was the true tratior. Despite managing to stop her, Sutton was killed and he (Martin) was shot in the stomach. He collapsed after stopping the transfer of secrets to a terrorist operative. Whether he survived is unknown.

• Kail appears exclusively in the mobile phone series 24: Conspiracy, which takes place during the same day as Day 4.
