Matt Battaglia (born September 25, 1965; age 58) portrayed Jennings during Season 5 and Season 6 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Matt Battaglia was born in Tallahassee, Florida, but grew up in the towns of Tucker, Georgia and Lithonia, Georgia, two suburbs east of Atlanta. During school, he was part of both the wrestling and football teams. He subsequently earned a football scholarship to play for the University of Louisville where he excelled as a linebacker.

After high school, Battaglia went on to play for the Cleveland Browns and the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League. Unfortunately, after just two years, a broken bone was discovered in his neck ending his career. Battaglia decided to return to college where he earned a degree in business and an emphasis in finance.

During the 80's, Battaglia started his career in acting. Throughout the years, he has appeared in shows like Matlock (with Todd Jeffries), Baywatch, That 70's Show (with Kurtwood Smith), NCIS (with Pauley Perrette), CSI: Miami (with Jorge-Luis Pallo), and Franklin & Bash (with Reed Diamond and Eric Balfour).

Battaglia has also appeared in films like Army of One (with Nick Chinlund), Blue Sky (with Powers Boothe), Half Past Dead (with Tony Plana), and Thor (with Colm Feore). Battaglia is also known for replacing Jean-Claude Van Damme in the role of Luc Devereaux for the two unofficial sequels of Universal Soldier, both of which featured Jeff Wincott.

In 1991, Battaglia appeared in a minor role as a sheriff's deputy in Twin Peaks, with Chris Mulkey. Battaglia will also appear in the 2017 revival, opposite Ray Wise, John Billingsley, Brent Briscoe, Bailey Chase, Rob Mars, James Morrison, and Erik Rondell.
