The Mayor of Los Angeles was the elected chief executive officer of the city of Los Angeles, California.
At the time of Senator David Palmer's run for President, the Mayor of Los Angeles was Nelson, who counted Palmer among his good friends, and gave a speech introducing him at the Senator's breakfast rally at the Santa Clarita Power Plant. ("Day 1: 7:00am-8:00am")
