Michael P. Lugar is a prop assistant and actor. He provided weapons assistance to several actors on 24. Lugar also played an unnamed CTU chopper pilot during Season 4 of 24.
Biography and career[]
Before working on 24, Lugar worked as a Production Assistant on Susan's Plan, a 1998 film. During the 2000s, he served as Kiefer Sutherland's assistant for films like Mirrors and River Queen.
Role on 24[]
Lugar teaches Reiko Aylesworth a few gun techniques for Season 3.
Lugar played an unnamed CTU chopper pilot during two episodes of Season 4 of 24. His character flew Jack Bauer into the Mojave Desert to retrieve the nuclear football. He then assisted Bauer in capturing terrorist Steve Simmons.
In director/producer Jon Cassar's book 24: Behind the Scenes, Cassar details Lugar also working as a prop assistant to actors like Dagmara Dominczyk, Reiko Aylesworth and Roger Cross during Day 4. He provided weapons assistance and gun handling techniques to the actors as they prepare to shoot certain scenes.
