Michael J. Tamburro is a helicopter pilot and stunt performer who played two different CTU agents in 24.
Biography and career[]
Michael Tamburro grew up in Los Angeles and learned to fly aircraft from his father, Mike Sr., who was a hollywood pilot alongside brothers Chuck and John Tamburro. Michael Jr. achieved his certification to fly age 18 and started working with Chuck and John on their Hollywood projects. He became a member of SAG/AFTRA in 2003, and became VP of Blackstar Helicopters in 2006.
Role on 24[]
Michael helped his uncles John and Chuck Tamburro, who were aerial co-ordinators on all 8 seasons of the original show. He also appeared in two different roles:
- In "Day 3: 6:00am-7:00am" and "7:00am-8:00am", he played a CTU chopper co-ordinator who oversaw Ryan Chappelle and Kim Bauer leaving by helicopter from the CTU rooftop.
- In "Day 8: 4:00pm-5:00pm" and "5:00pm-6:00pm", he played a CTU agent who went with agents Cole Ortiz, Johnson and Torres to bring Victor Aruz back to CTU. He is one of two agents who could have been agent Hurley.
