Mido Hamada (born August 1971) played Samir Mehran during Season 8 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

Hamada was born in Cairo, Egypt and raised in Germany. Originally interested in sports, he came upon acting after an injury led him to study at the Oxford School of Drama in England. Hamada was cast in various plays like Hamlet and Guantanamo.

In 2011, Hamada had a supporting role on the show Terra Nova. The show is produced by Brannon Braga and Jon Cassar, and features David Fury as a writer. The next year, he had a supporting role on the show Homeland, with Hrach Titizian and Diego Klattenhoff. The show is developed by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa, and features work by Sean Callery and Chip Johannessen.

In 2014, he appeared in the film American Sniper (with Leonard Roberts, Sammy Sheik, Tim Griffin, Navid Negahban, Fahim Fazli, Assaf Cohen and Reynaldo Gallegos).
