Nagwekar was a police sub inspector who worked in Mumbai.
At around 3:25am on Day 1, Nagwekar was on patrol in Nagpada, buying tea from Jagan. Around the same time, ATU agent Jai Singh Rathod was pursuing Parvez, a suspect, through the alleys nearby. Nagwekar heard shots from them exchanging gunfire, and told Jagan to leave the area. He called in backup, before stopping Jai and holding him at gunpoint. Jai identified himself as an ATU agent and explained that Parvez was a suspect, so Nagwekar apologised and agreed to assist Jai in catching him.
They split up to cover more ground in the alleys in their pursuit, however Parvez crept up behind Nagwekar and held him at gunpoint. Backup arrived, but Parvez demanded Jai drop his gun in exchange for Nagwekar's safety. Nagwekar told Jai not to worry about him, but Jai agreed to drop his weapon. As he did so, Nagwekar grabbed Parvez's arm and gave Jai the chance to shoot and incapacitate the suspect. However, Parvez let off a shot which ultimately killed Nagwekar. ("3:00am-4:00am")
