Vishwanath "Nana" Patekar (born January 1, 1951; age 73) is an Indian actor who did an opening narration in the second season of the Indian version of 24.
Biography and career
Vishwanath Patekar was born in Murud-Janjira, India. He studied at the Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art in Mumbai. Patekar developed his love for acting when his father encouraged him to watch plays.
Through his career, Patekar has appeared in films like Savitri, Avam, Kohram, Shakthi: The Power, Hemalkasa, and Aapla Manus. Early in his career, he also appeared in TV shows like Shodh, Apradhi Kaun!, and Man Vadhay Vadhay.
Aside from his work as an actor, Patekar has sang in several films. He also directed two films, Vadh and Prahaar: The Final Attack, which he also wrote.
