Necar Zadegan (born June 20, 1982; age 39) is an American actress. She played Dalia Hassan during Season 8 of 24.

Biography and career[edit | edit source]

Zadegan was born in Heidelberg, Germany, but raised in San Francisco, California. She is of Iranian origin. Zadegan attended Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward. When she was 16, she started working in the theater at te Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. She later graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in Literature.

Through her career, Zadegan has appeared in several other TV series like The Bernie Mac Show (with Carl Gilliard), NCIS (with Mark Derwin and Cas Anvar), CSI: Miami (with Jeff Kober, Navid Negahban, Ethan Rains and Evan Ellingson) and The Shield (with FJ Rio). From 2010 to 2011, she co-starred in the series The Event, along with Ian Anthony Dale, Zeljko Ivanek, Salvator Xuereb, and Jose Zuniga.

Role on 24[edit | edit source]

Zadegan played the role of Dalia Hassan during Season 8 of 24. Her character is the mother of Kayla Hassan, which is played by Nazneen Contractor. However, in reality Zadegan is only two months older than Contractor. Zadegan appeared in a total of 20 episodes and was credited as a guest star.
