Nick Heckstall-Smith (born November 6, 1962; age 61) was the First assistant director for 24: Redemption. He also worked on 24: Live Another Day.

Biography and career[]

Nick Heckstall-Smith was born in London, England. He began working as part of the production staff on the 1982 film Trail of the Pink Panther. After that, he started working as an assistant director. Heckstall-Smith has worked on shows like Jeeves and Wooster (with Stephen Fry), Revelations (with Michael Massee, Tobin Bell, and Patrick Bauchau), and Crossing Lines.

Heckstall-Smith has also worked in films like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, A View to a Kill (with Patrick Bauchau), The Beach (with Robert Carlyle), Mirrors (with Kiefer Sutherland), Skyfall, and 47 Ronin.
