This article's subject relates to Season 1 of 24.

Patty Brooks was David Palmer's campaign manager up until the night he won the Super Tuesday primaries on Day 1.

Day 1

Patty

Patty with Palmer

Patty stayed up the night before Super Tuesday to go over David Palmer's speech for the next day until well after midnight. Martin Belkin called her from his flight to confirm plans at the breakfast in the morning. She took Maureen Kingsley's call for him and performed other administrative duties for him up until she was terminated from his staff by Palmer himself.

Late on Super Tuesday, Patty was persuaded by Sherry Palmer to make sexual advances towards David in order to spy on him for undisclosed reasons, such as rubbing his back and conversing in a suggestive manner. David started to realize what was going on and pretended to go along at first, calling Patty into an hotel room 907. He asked her if Sherry brought her up to this and Patty confessed. He fired her, telling her he wanted her out of the hotel in a half hour and not to look to him or his staff for a reference or letter of recommendation.

Memorable quotes

  • David Palmer: All right, "On this historic occasion..."
  • Patty Brooks: Well, it is an historic occasion, sir. ("Day 1: 12:00am-1:00am")

  • David Palmer: Are you flirting with me, Patty?
  • Patty Brooks: I don't know, I think I might be. ("Day 1: 10:00pm-11:00pm")
