Paul McGillion (born January 5, 1969; age 51) is a Scottish-born Canadian actor based in Vancouver. He played Dr. Levinson during "Day 7: 6:00am-7:00am".

Biography and career Edit

Paul McGillion was born in Paisley, Scotland, but his family moved to Canada when he was only 2. When McGillion was 11, the family moved back to Scotland for three years while his father worked on the Shetland oil rigs. He is the sixth of seven children. McGillion has a degree in teaching and while studying at Brock University, was part of the wrestling team. After graduating, he began teaching theater in Toronto. Eventually, he moved to Vancouver to continue pursuing his acting career.

McGillion is best known for his role as Carson Beckett in Stargate Atlantis, which he performed from 2004 to 2009. Other shows in which he has appeared are The Commish, The X-Files, Da Vinci's Inquest, V, Alcatraz, and Fringe (with John Noble).

Aside of TV, McGillion has also appeared on films like Hit 'n Strum, Witchslayer Gretl, Confined, The Traveler, The Deal (with Colm Feore), and My 5 Wives. He also appeared in the 2009 version of Star Trek (with Zachary Quinto, Sala Baker, Faran Tahir, Freda Foh Shen, Douglas Tait, and Greg Ellis).
