Biography and career Edit
Harris was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was discovered while he was on vacation in Venice Beach, and was approached by an agent. As a result, Harris worked as a model for some time while also working on some TV shows and films. Aside from 24, he also appeared on shows like Everybody Loves Raymond.
Harris also worked as an Assistant General Manager at Gold's Gym on Grand Avenue in Oakland, and Sales Manager at 24-Hour Fitness in Downtown Oakland. He was also active in the community speaking to children about fitness and health.
Outside of acting, Harris was also a singer. He released an album in 2006 titled Say-No-ism which he described as "pop-funk".
Role on 24 Edit
Harris played a government agent that arrested Nina Myers at the end of Season 1. Harris said in an interview that he was brought back in Season 2 to "tie me in because I was the last person who was in contact with [Nina] before she went to prison." He added that Kiefer Sutherland was skeptical of his involvement because of his lack of formal training:
- "He tested me, and it was upon me to be assertive and find strategic places for me to interject. So once we started speaking, I started to get my suggestions and 'Nina' backed me up a 100%"
Harris added that Sutherland was "very intense" and that he remained "in character", trying to get the scenes filmed while they had daylight which made filming "a little bit testy". He also described it as a unique opportunity for his career.
