Biography and career[]
Philip Shahbaz was born in Chicago, Illinois to an Iranian American father. He spent most of his childhood in Chicago, until his family moved to Turlock, California in 1982. Shahbaz attended college in Spokane, Washington, but returned to Los Angeles in 1996.
Shahbaz started his acting career in 2005 with a guest appearance in the show Over There (with Omid Abtahi). After that, he has appeared in shows like The Unit (with Dennis Haysbert, Max Martini, and Michael Irby), Grey's Anatomy (with Kim Raver and Peter MacNicol), and E-Ring (with Benjamin Bratt and Dennis Hopper). In 2012, Shahbaz appeared in the pilot episode of Kiefer Sutherland's new show Touch.
Aside from TV, Shahbaz is known for his role as legendary assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in the hit video game Assassin's Creed.
