Philip Tan (born 1960) is a stunt performer and actor who played one of Zhou Yong's henchman in Season 6 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

Philip Tan was born in Singapore. He spent his early childhood there before moving to the UK at the age of 5. Tan started practicing gymnastics in his youth, becoming the British Youth Tumbling champion and a member of the British squad for several years. Eventually, he got into martial arts also becoming a Tae Kwon Do champion. Tan also studied at the University of New York where he majored in Economics.

Tan started his acting career in 1980, appearing in the film The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu. After acting in films like Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, he started working also as a stunt performer. As such, Tan has worked on films like Minority Report, Pirates of the Caribbean, and two Transformers films, among many others.

Role on 24 Edit

Tan played one of Zhou Yong's henchmen during the last episodes of Season 6. In "Day 6: 2:00am-3:00am" he was among Zhou's men as they infiltrated CTU Los Angeles, and went with Zhou's lieutenant and Ike to find Josh Bauer. After a small exchange of gunfire by the ventilation system, Tan's character grabbed Marilyn Bauer and took her to the other hostages.

In "Day 6: 3:00am-4:00am" he stood guard over Marilyn, threatening to hit her with his weapon when she wouldn't be quiet. He then led the hostages away, but was attacked by Nadia Yassir. After a fight with Nadia he was shot and killed by Mike Doyle.
