3x06 debate

A Presidential Debate was an event in which two candidates running for the office of President of the United States confronted issues relating to the governing of the United States. Three debates are held between the candidates before the election.

Day 3

A Presidential Debate took place during Day 3 at the University of Southern California between President David Palmer and Senator John Keeler. Palmer had to end the debate early to deal with the Cordilla virus terrorist crisis.

Background information and notes

  • Presidential Debates are often late in the election cycle, when parties have elected their presidential candidates. They are also broadcast live on major news networks. The format consists of opening statements from each of the candidates, a back and forth question and answer session, and closing statements.
    • 1992 saw three candidates, incumbent George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and independent Ross Perot participate.
