Preston

Preston was an general in the United States armed forces during Day 2.

Sometime before 11:20am, General Preston assured NSA official Eric Rayburn that the military could successfully contain any civil unrest in the event of an evacuation of Los Angeles. Later, in a meeting with President David Palmer concerning the impending Second Wave terrorist attack targeting LA, Rayburn argued with Lynne Kresge about the wisdom of ordering such an evacuation. Rayburn repeated Preston's assurance, but neither David nor Lynne were impressed and the evacuation was not ordered. ("Day 2: 11:00am-12:00pm")
