Ravil Akhmedullovich Isyanov (born August 20, 1962; age 57) played Bierko's technician during Season 5 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

Isyanov was born in Voskresensk in the Moscow Oblast in Russia. During his childhood, he took classes in music, ballet, and theater, as well as sports like ice hockey, boxing, and soccer. When he grew up, Isyanov served in the Soviet Air Force for two years.

Isyanov worked for two seasons in Khabarovsk Theater. After that, he studied at the Moscow Art Theater School for for years and simultaneously at the Oxford branch of British American Drama Academy. In 1990, he graduated from the MKhAT Studio-School in Moscow.

That same year, Isyanov went to the United Kingdom at the invitation of Theater Clwyd, in Wales. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, he decided to stay in the UK. Eventually, he moved to the United States, where he has continued to work on TV and film.

Some of the TV shows Isyanov has worked on are EastEnders, JAG, Alias, The Unit (with Dennis Haysbert), The Last Ship (with John Pyper-Ferguson), and The Americans (with Boris Krutonog). In 2013, he appeared in an episode of Kiefer Sutherland's show Touch. The episode he appeared in also featured Mykelti Williamson and Greg Ellis.

Aside from TV, Isyanov has worked on films like GoldenEye, The Jackal (with Stephen Spinella), K-19: The Widowmaker, Defiance (with Tomas Arana), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (with Glenn Morshower), and Sniper: Ghost Shooter (with Dennis Haysbert).
