Regardless, Armus let Wieland out around 3:35 pm, causing a disruption in the President's plans. Palmer, after viewing video footage of Armus releasing Wieland, angrily demanded that Armus be brought in to answer for his actions, but Mike Novick had been unable to find him. From that moment on, Palmer knew for certain that there was a conspiracy within his own administration which was determined to stop law enforcement from finding the nuclear weapon which was in the hands of Second Wave terrorists.
