Richard Gross (born 1948) played a fire marshal called in to inspect the damage from the CTU bombing during Season 2 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

Gross was was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His mother was a Welsh immigrant and his adoptive father was a native of Pittsburgh. Gross and his family moved to Los Angeles in the 60's where he graduated from Lennox High School. He then attended Cal State Dominguez Hills where he completed a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts.

In 1972, Gross married Judith Henley. They have three children together. Gross moved his family to Grass Valley, California, in 1979. During that time, he was active with the Foothill Theatre Company, a regional theatre in Nevada City. Gross returned to Los Angeles in 1991 to continue his acting career, but still maintains his Northern California residence with his family.

Through his career, Gross has appeared in TV shows like Love Street, Vengeance Unlimited (with Tobin Bell), Nash Bridges (with Jaime Gomez), Any Day Now (with Donzaleigh Abernathy), CSI: Miami (with Rory Cochrane), and Alcatraz.

Aside of TV shows, Gross has also appeared in films like Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo, Hard Eight, Phenomenon, Mad City (with Mia Kirshner), The Deep End, A Man Apart (with Jeff Kober), Milk (with Stephen Spinella), and Swiss Army Man.
