Biography and career[]
Robert Hendren grew up in Alabama, where he studied high school, graduating in 1982. After that, he studied Computer Science at Jacksonville State University and then at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he completed a Minor in Theatre. After graduating, Hendren started getting small roles on films like Hunk and Monkey Shines (with Stephen Root), as well as the TV show Cagney & Lacey.
In 1988, Hendren joined the US Army, where he served as a Programmer Analyst until 1995. During his service, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. After completing his time in the military, Hendren focused on his career in the computer and software industry. From 1994 to 1998, he worked as Vice President of Operations at Clever Internet Services. After that, he worked as Director of Information Systems at Interliant/Sage Networks for a year. In 2000, Hendren became President and CEO of ListingWare, a company that develops a software for real estate.
In 2013, Hendren decided to return to acting. Since then, he has appeared in films like The 5th Wave, Vengeance: A Love Story, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. He has also appeared in TV shows like Bloodlands, Quantico, Sleepy Hollow, Atlanta, and Swamp Murders (with Trey Butler). Most of his roles have been as military and law enforcement officers, and Hendren also works as Military Tech Advisor for television.
